Canadian Flag History
Designed by George Stanley back in 1965, the official Canadian flag features an 11-point maple leaf. A red flag with the middle being blocked out by a white square. Up until 1964, Canada did not have an official flag, so Prime Minister Lester B. Parson formed a committee in which they narrowed down to three possible flags. Based on the Royal Military College of Canada, the flag features the common vertical triband seen throughout Europe.
February 15 is the official Flag Day of Canada and July 1 is Canada Day!
